This washable filter features an ionizing section that electrically charges the individual air particles and a collector plate which attracts the pollutants. Designed to last for years, the electronic cells can be used repeatedly and can be cleaned using a special filter detergent (sold separately). The final filtration stage consists of the granular Carbon Post Filter with a honeycomb design that effectively absorbs strong smells and volatile organic compounds (VOC), so you can enjoy the cleanest and freshest indoor air. This filter can be vacuumed to remove the accumulated dirt but once the odor-removal capability fades, a replacement carbon filter should be used.
