My first thought when I opened the box was Mickey Mouse. For the price I really expected more than a pressed wood cabinet with a plastic laminate. It literally looks like the corners were touched up with a Sharpie. I could probably build one of these for less than $500. Seems to work well. Moves a lot of air. Just really cheap materials for such a high price.
So far quite happy with my purchase. Delivery was quick and effective. I seasoned my unit and had it at ideal temp / humidity within a few hours. So far it's working great.
The unit does have slight damage at the bottom of the frame, however hard to notice for most eyes. My only complaint so far is the drawers should have rails on them, as they get heavy once you place boxes on them and it doesn't make sense to me why they wouldn't.
Overall very happy with my purchase, would recommend it.
Shipping was great, everything arrived on time and in perfect condition. This thing weights a ton, so don't plan on trying to move it up any stairs of places that require lots of maneuvering. The fans are a bit loud, but they don't bother me even though it sits about 6 feet from my office chair. One thing I noticed is that the mains doors do not seem to line up with the rubber stripping, resulting in a poor seal. I had to order some rubber weather stripping and make some enhancements myself, but nothing crazy. Doors do seem a little more light weight that I would have expected for the price, and that everything else is very solidly built. The LED lights look nice, the wood interior is beautiful, its a very nice cabinet for your sticks. I have an Cigar Oasis Magna 3.0 managing the humidity and it has been very consistent for the first month I have had it with only a few minor upgrades.
Shipping issues aside...first impressions, this cabinet is great looking. The flat black with the brassy accents really pops. And as far as the airflow channel, I have 3 digital hygrometers at different levels in the humidor, and they are all within .2% of each other. Never seen it so consistent, and the circulation feature is working perfectly (the main reason I bought it). Regarding the cons, they are small, but more numerous than I'd like. The construction doesn't feel as solid as I would expect from a $2500+ cabinet. Doors don't have much weight to them. The rubber seal is smaller than I'd like but so far its doing its job (only been 2 weeks). I would have preferred a cabinet catch on both doors, I will probably be replacing the 'latch' style in the coming weeks with something magnetic. The fans are great but they are NOT quiet, which can be a little annoying when working in my home office all day. LED's are too spaced out, and they should have a dimmer feature. Blue ring light around buttons should be dimmer too. The BIGGEST complaint with this unit, not NEARLY enough peg holes for shelves. The options are very limiting, forced me to break out the drill and triple the amount of holes for pegs.
Long story short, good, but not great. Yes, I am particular about what I like and don't like, But I feel like some of those issues should have been obvious before rollout.
